A custom figurine made from your photo is one of the most personal gifts you can give, and one of the easiest to get wrong if you do not know what to look for. This guide walks through what to check before you order, whether you buy from us or from anyone else. 1. Check how it is printed
The printing method decides how much detail survives, especially on faces and hair. Resin printing captures far finer detail than FDM on small figurines. We explain the difference in our guide to resin vs FDM printing. We print in tough resin from Elegoo and Anycubic for detail and durability.
2. Look at how it is painted
Ask whether the colour is hand-painted and how. Airbrushing gives smooth colour transitions, masking gives clean edges, and a varnish coat protects the paint. Our figurines are sanded and hand-painted by artists after printing, using Vallejo and Mont Marte paints, with layered detailing on the face for depth.
3. Ask for a preview before production
A good maker shows you a 3D preview before anything is printed. At Boo Customization we share a preview video on WhatsApp, and production only starts after your approval.
4. Understand the revision and refund policy
Because every figurine is made for one person, custom items usually cannot be returned. With us, you can request reasonable changes at the preview stage, such as facial adjustments, hairstyle or outfit details. Once the model is approved and printed, major changes or refunds are not possible. That is why it is worth reviewing the preview carefully.
5. Pick the right size
Size refers to the height of the figurine. We offer 8 cm, 10 cm, 12 cm and 15 cm. Smaller sizes suit a single person on a desk. Larger sizes show more detail and are recommended for more than one person or complex designs, such as detailed outfits or accessories.
6. Choose a base and nameplate
A standard base is included. You can upgrade to a Magnetic Display base, a Stone Texture base or a Grass base. For a personal touch, add a Classic Big Text or Flip Text nameplate with a name, date or short message.
7. What does a custom figurine cost in India?
Prices depend on the type of figurine, its size and the extras you choose. At Boo Customization, figurines start from:
- Pet figurine: from ₹999

Larger sizes, upgraded bases, nameplates and very detailed outfits or props add to the price. We always confirm the final price with you before we start.
8. Prepare good photos
The photo you send is the biggest factor in how much the figurine looks like the person. A clear, front-facing photo is ideal, with no filters or face-covering accessories, plus reference images for clothing that matters. 9. Plan your timing
Making your figurine takes about 3 to 7 days after you approve the preview, depending on complexity. Allow about 10 days in total for delivery across India. If the figurine is for a birthday or anniversary, also leave a few days for the preview and any changes.
